Oyez! Oyez!
We bid you all welcome to our village!  You will be granted a key to the village for a day, a day on which you will find many a merchant and villager throwing open their doors to the public eye.  We do not sell our goods on this day, we offer our knowledge!

Spend your time at the village tailor’s and seamstress’s shop where you can learn about fabrics and dress-making.

Visit the forgery and discover the secrets of armouring.

While stopping for a meal at the local Golden Oak Inn, take a moment to ask the tavern staff to give you some tips on how to prepare yourself for medieval feasting.

Take a moment to visit the game hall where you will certainly be drawn in to a game of chess or perhaps a Roman Chariot Race!

Everyone will be light on their feet after taking a class at the local dance hall!

The children can spend their day at the village school, learning how to be good little lords and ladies

Need to brush up on your own medieval etiquette, courtly manners and forsooth language skills?  There’s a place for that too!

When the day is done, join the villagers at the campfire where they will entertain you with stories and music…perhaps you have a tale of your own to share?

Event Particulars:
There is no formal feast but by registering “on board” you will be able to visit the Golden Oak Inn anytime from 2pm-6pm.  All you need to do is, show your “on board” event token and receive a plate of delicious offerings from the Inn.  The plated food will consist of bread, butter, boiled eggs, savoury chicken pie and sweets.

There will be no sideboard but refreshment in the form of water or hot cider will be available to all at the village well..

Bardic Circle around the “campfire” will begin after the tavern closes for the day.

Dry site, no pets.

Please leave all modern world accoutrements to the outside world.  Chivalry and honour are welcome.
